Anastrol
Details
1 mg
Anastrol (Anastrozole) is a non-steroidal aromatase inhibitor used primarily in the treatment of hormone receptor-positive breast cancer in postmenopausal women. By inhibiting the aromatase enzyme, it significantly reduces estrogen levels, slowing or halting the growth of estrogen-dependent cancer cells.
Indications:
-
Treatment of early breast cancer in postmenopausal women.
-
Treatment of advanced or metastatic breast cancer that is hormone receptor-positive.
-
As an adjuvant therapy to reduce cancer recurrence after surgery.
Dosage Form and Strength:
-
Tablets: 1 mg Anastrozole
Mechanism of Action:
Anastrozole selectively inhibits the aromatase enzyme, blocking the conversion of androgens to estrogens, thus lowering estrogen levels that fuel the growth of certain breast cancers.
Common Side Effects:
-
Hot flashes
-
Joint pain or stiffness
-
Fatigue
-
Nausea
-
Osteoporosis or bone thinning (with long-term use)
