Indications:

• Treatment of skin infections, including impetigo, infected wounds, and cuts.

• Prevention of infection in minor skin injuries and abrasions.

• Can be used to treat folliculitis (inflammation of hair follicles).

Dosage & Administration:

• Apply a thin layer of the ointment to the affected area 2-3 times daily.

• Clean the infected area before application for best results.

• It should be used for the prescribed duration to avoid recurrence.

Side Effects:

• Mild skin irritation at the application site.

• Itching or burning sensations occasionally.

• Allergic reactions are rare but can occur in sensitive individuals.

Precautions:

• Do not use on open wounds or mucous membranes (like eyes, mouth).

• Use with caution if allergic to mupirocin or any of the excipients in the formulation.

• Avoid prolonged use in large areas of the skin to minimize the risk of side effects.
