Product Description:
Cetuxim (Cetuximab) is a chimeric monoclonal antibody that targets the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). It is classified as an EGFR inhibitor and is used in the treatment of certain types of cancers, including:

Metastatic colorectal cancer (KRAS wild-type, EGFR-expressing tumors)

Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma
It works by binding to EGFR on the surface of cancer cells, blocking their growth and proliferation.
Dosage and Administration:

Colorectal Cancer:

Initial dose: 400 mg/m² body surface area as a 2-hour IV infusion

Maintenance dose: 250 mg/m² weekly as a 1-hour IV infusion

Head and Neck Cancer:

Loading dose: 400 mg/m² one week prior to radiation

Then 250 mg/m² weekly for the duration of radiation therapy

Note: Premedication with antihistamines is recommended to reduce the risk of infusion reactions. The dose and schedule may vary based on the indication and patient condition.
