Product Description:

Clenpic Tablet contains Sodium Picosulfate, a stimulant laxative used for the short-term treatment of constipation. Sodium Picosulfate acts on the colon to stimulate bowel movements by increasing peristalsis. It is typically used when rapid bowel evacuation is required, such as before diagnostic procedures (e.g., colonoscopy) or for relieving occasional constipation.

Composition:

Each tablet contains:

• Sodium Picosulfate 10 mg

Indications:

• Relief of occasional constipation

• Preparation of the bowel before diagnostic procedures such as colonoscopy

Dosage and Administration:

• Adults: Usually 5–10 mg at bedtime. The dose may be adjusted according to the response.

• Should be swallowed whole with water.

• Effects typically occur within 6–12 hours.

Contraindications:

• Intestinal obstruction or stenosis

• Acute abdominal conditions (e.g., appendicitis)

• Severe dehydration

• Known hypersensitivity to Sodium Picosulfate

Precautions:

• Prolonged use may lead to dependence or electrolyte imbalance.

• Should be used with caution in elderly patients and those with kidney disease or electrolyte disturbances.

• Adequate hydration is recommended during treatment.
