Description:

Cyclotox contains cyclophosphamide, a cytotoxic alkylating agent from the oxazaphosphorine group. It works by interfering with the growth of cancer cells, leading to their destruction. Cyclotox is used as part of chemotherapy regimens for a variety of cancers.

Uses:

• Breast cancer

• Ovarian cancer

Dosage Form:

Mechanism of Action:

Cyclophosphamide is converted in the liver to active metabolites that alkylate DNA, disrupting the replication and function of cancer cells, leading to cell death.

Common Side Effects:

• Nausea, vomiting

• Hair loss (alopecia)

• Low white blood cell count (leukopenia)

• Risk of infections

• Hemorrhagic cystitis (bladder irritation)

• Fatigue

Precautions:
