Product Description:

Esoprex Injection contains Esomeprazole Sodium, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It reduces stomach acid by blocking the final step in gastric acid production. It is used when oral administration is not possible or not appropriate.

Indications:

• Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)

• Zollinger-Ellison syndrome

• Peptic ulcer disease (including NSAID-associated ulcers)

• Stress ulcer prophylaxis in critically ill patients

Dosage:

• Adults:
  The usual dose is 40 mg once daily by intravenous injection or infusion for up to 10 days, depending on the condition being treated.

• Administration Route:

  • IV Injection: Administer as a slow IV injection over at least 3 minutes.

  • IV Infusion: Can also be given over 10–30 minutes after reconstitution and dilution.

• Reconstitution:
  Reconstitute the powder with sterile water for injection as directed in the product insert before use.
