Generic Name: Esomeprazole

Product Description:

Esoprex MUPS is a gastro-resistant tablet containing Esomeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach, providing relief from acid-related disorders.

MUPS stands for Multiple Unit Pellet System, a formulation that enhances absorption and protects the drug from stomach acid by allowing release in the intestines.

Indications:

• Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)

• Peptic ulcers

• Zollinger-Ellison syndrome

• NSAID-associated gastric ulcer prevention

• Helicobacter pylori eradication (in combination with antibiotics)

Dosage:

• GERD: 20–40 mg once daily for 4–8 weeks

• Peptic Ulcers (with H. pylori): 20 mg twice daily with antibiotics for 7–10 days

• NSAID-induced ulcer prevention: 20 mg once daily

• Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: Initial dose 40 mg twice daily (adjusted individually)
