Product Description:

Filgrast Injection contains Filgrastim, a recombinant human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF). It is a hematopoietic agent used to stimulate the production of neutrophils (a type of white blood cell), helping reduce the risk of infection in patients with neutropenia (low white blood cell count).

Indications:

• Neutropenia induced by chemotherapy in cancer patients

• Neutropenia due to bone marrow transplant

• Severe chronic neutropenia (congenital, cyclic, or idiopathic)

• Neutropenia associated with HIV infection

• Mobilization of hematopoietic progenitor cells for collection by leukapheresis

Mechanism of Action:

Filgrastim stimulates the proliferation and differentiation of neutrophil precursors and enhances the functional activity of mature neutrophils.
