Product Description:
Heparon Injection contains Heparin Sodium, an anticoagulant (blood thinner) used to prevent and treat blood clots in blood vessels. It helps reduce the risk of conditions such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), and other thromboembolic disorders. Heparin also prevents clot formation during surgeries, dialysis, and in intravenous lines.

Indications:

• Prevention and treatment of venous thrombosis and pulmonary embolism

• Prevention of clotting in arterial and cardiac surgery

• Prophylaxis of deep vein thrombosis post-surgery or immobilization

• Maintenance of catheter patency (low-dose flushing)

Mechanism of Action:
Heparin enhances the activity of antithrombin III, which inhibits thrombin and factor Xa, thus preventing the conversion of fibrinogen to fibrin, a key step in clot formation.

• Osteoporosis (long-term use)

• Elevated liver enzymes

Contraindications:

• Active bleeding disorders
