Product Description:

Leukin Tablet contains Mercaptopurine, an antimetabolite chemotherapeutic agent. It is primarily used in the treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and other hematologic malignancies. Mercaptopurine interferes with nucleic acid synthesis by inhibiting purine metabolism, which results in cytotoxic effects on rapidly dividing cancer cells.

Typical Dosage:

• Adults and children:
  The usual starting dose is 2.5 mg/kg body weight per day or 50 to 75 mg/m² body surface area per day, adjusted based on individual response and tolerance.

• Administration: Should be taken once daily, preferably on an empty stomach (1 hour before or 2 hours after food) to improve absorption and reduce variability.
