Product Description:
Lipofit IV Infusion is a sterile, non-pyrogenic fat emulsion formulated for intravenous administration. It provides a concentrated source of essential and non-essential fatty acids, energy, and calories to patients requiring parenteral nutrition.

Composition (per 100 ml):

• Soybean oil or equivalent purified oil: 10 g

• Egg phospholipids (emulsifier)

• Glycerol (for isotonicity)

• Water for Injection

• pH adjusted with sodium hydroxide if necessary

Key Features:

• Provides essential fatty acids (linoleic and linolenic acids) to prevent essential fatty acid deficiency.

• Serves as a calorie-dense energy source (approximately 1 kcal per ml).

• Supports patients with limited oral or enteral nutrition intake.

• Formulated as a stable oil-in-water emulsion.

Indications:

• Parenteral nutrition for patients unable to meet nutritional requirements via oral or enteral routes.

• Treatment or prevention of essential fatty acid deficiency.

• Energy supplementation in critically ill or malnourished patients.

Administration:

• Intravenous infusion via central or peripheral vein, depending on patient condition and dilution.

• Dosage individualized based on patient’s energy requirements, clinical condition, and tolerance.

Precautions:

• Monitor triglyceride levels and liver function during therapy.

• Use cautiously in patients with lipid metabolism disorders, severe liver disease, or fat overload syndrome.

• Not for use in patients with known hypersensitivity to soy, egg proteins, or any component of the formulation.
