Generic Name: Methocarbamol

Product Description:

Mecab Tablet contains Methocarbamol, a centrally acting muscle relaxant. It is used as an adjunct to rest, physical therapy, and other treatments for the relief of discomfort associated with acute, painful musculoskeletal conditions.

Mechanism of Action:

Methocarbamol works by depressing the central nervous system (CNS), leading to muscle relaxation and pain relief. It does not directly relax skeletal muscles.

Indications:

• Relief of muscle spasms

• Adjunct therapy for musculoskeletal pain

• Supportive treatment in tetanus

Dosage Forms:

• Mecab 500 mg Tablet

• Mecab 750 mg Tablet

Common Side Effects:

• Drowsiness

• Dizziness

• Nausea

• Headache

• Blurred vision

Precautions:

• Use with caution in patients with liver or kidney impairment.

• May cause drowsiness; avoid driving or operating machinery.

• Should not be combined with alcohol or CNS depressants.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to Methocarbamol or any component of the formulation.
