Description:
Paloxi 0.5 mg tablet contains Palonosetron, a selective 5-HT3 receptor antagonist. It is primarily used to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgery. Palonosetron works by blocking the action of serotonin, a natural substance that may cause nausea and vomiting.

Mechanism of Action:
Palonosetron selectively blocks 5-HT3 receptors located centrally in the chemoreceptor trigger zone and peripherally on vagal nerve terminals in the gastrointestinal tract, thereby reducing nausea and vomiting reflexes.
Administration:
Take as directed by the physician, usually administered before chemotherapy or surgery.
Storage:
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
