Therapeutic Class: Anticancer agent, specifically a kinase inhibitor

Indications:
Soranix (Sorafenib Tosylate) is indicated for the treatment of:

• Unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC)

• Advanced renal cell carcinoma (RCC)

• Differentiated thyroid carcinoma (DTC) that is refractory to radioactive iodine treatment.

Dosage and Administration:

• Recommended Dosage: 400 mg orally twice daily (total daily dose of 800 mg)

• Administration: Take on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal

• Duration: Continue therapy as long as clinical benefit is observed or until unacceptable toxicity occurs.

Dosage Modifications for Toxicity:
If dosage modification is required due to adverse reactions, the dosage may be reduced as follows:

• First Reduction: 400 mg once daily

• Second Reduction: 200 mg once daily or 400 mg every other day

• Third Reduction: 200 mg twice daily

• Further Reductions: If necessary, further reductions may be made based on clinical judgment.

Common Side Effects:

• Diarrhea

• Fatigue

• Rash

• Hypertension

• Hand-foot skin reaction

Precautions:

• Monitor blood pressure regularly

• Assess for signs of bleeding or gastrointestinal perforation

• Use with caution in patients with pre-existing cardiac conditions

• Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding
