• Description:
  Amphotericin B is an antifungal medication used for serious fungal infections. It is usually administered intravenously due to poor oral absorption. Amphotericin B binds to ergosterol in fungal cell membranes, creating pores that cause cell death.

• Dosage Form:
  Injection / IV Infusion vial containing 50 mg of Amphotericin B per vial.

• Dosage:
  The dosage of Amphotericin B varies depending on the severity of the infection and patient factors. Typically, the initial dose may range from 0.3 mg/kg/day and can be increased gradually to 1 mg/kg/day, administered by slow IV infusion over 2 to 6 hours. Total cumulative doses depend on clinical response.
