Product Description:

Xemocid IV Infusion is a sterile, clear, and non-pyrogenic intravenous solution formulated to provide essential amino acids, D-sorbitol, and electrolytes for parenteral nutrition. This balanced formulation supplies the necessary building blocks for protein synthesis and energy production, supporting metabolic functions and electrolyte balance in patients unable to take adequate nutrition orally or enterally.

Key Components:

• Amino Acids: Provide essential and non-essential amino acids needed for protein synthesis and tissue repair.

• D-Sorbitol (5%): Acts as a source of carbohydrates and energy, helping to meet caloric requirements.

• Electrolytes: Maintain fluid balance, acid-base balance, and proper cellular function. Contains essential electrolytes such as sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium, chloride, and phosphate in appropriate concentrations.

Indications:

• Parenteral nutrition in patients with malnutrition or at risk of malnutrition

• Pre- and post-operative nutritional support

• Support for patients with gastrointestinal disorders preventing oral/enteral feeding

• Situations requiring supplemental amino acids and energy sources intravenously

Administration:

• Intravenous infusion, usually administered via a central or peripheral vein depending on the patient's condition and total osmolarity.

• Dosage and rate of infusion should be individualized based on clinical needs, age, body weight, and metabolic state.

Precautions:

• Monitor fluid and electrolyte balance during therapy.

• Use cautiously in patients with renal or hepatic impairment.

• Not for use as the sole source of nutrition; typically combined with lipid emulsions and vitamins/minerals in total parenteral nutrition (TPN) regimens.
