Description:
Xifos Injection is a pharmaceutical preparation containing Zoledronic Acid, a bisphosphonate class drug used primarily to treat bone-related complications in cancer patients and to manage osteoporosis. It helps reduce bone loss, prevent fractures, and lower elevated blood calcium levels caused by tumors.

Composition:

• Active Ingredient: Zoledronic Acid (concentration and volume may vary depending on the formulation)

Indications:

• Treatment of hypercalcemia of malignancy (elevated calcium levels due to cancer)

• Prevention of skeletal-related events in patients with bone metastases from solid tumors

• Treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women and men at high risk of fractures

• Treatment of Paget’s disease of bone

Dosage & Administration:

• Administered via intravenous infusion over at least 15 minutes.

• Dosage varies based on indication and patient factors; typically 4 mg once every 3-4 weeks for bone metastases.

• Adequate hydration and calcium/vitamin D supplementation are recommended.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to Zoledronic Acid or other bisphosphonates
