Xoleron Injection

• Generic Name: Zoledronic Acid

• Dosage Form: Intravenous (IV) Infusion

• Strengths Available: Commonly 4 mg/5 ml solution in a vial

Product Description:

Xoleron IV Infusion contains Zoledronic Acid, a nitrogen-containing bisphosphonate. It is used primarily to treat:

• Hypercalcemia of malignancy (high blood calcium levels caused by cancer)

• Bone metastases from solid tumors

• Multiple myeloma

• Osteoporosis (in some cases)

• Paget’s disease of bone

Zoledronic acid works by inhibiting osteoclast-mediated bone resorption, thus reducing the breakdown of bone.

Dosage:

• For Hypercalcemia of Malignancy:
  4 mg IV infusion over no less than 15 minutes, as a single dose.

• For Bone Metastases / Multiple Myeloma:
  4 mg IV every 3–4 weeks.

• Renal Impairment Adjustment:
  Dosage should be adjusted based on serum creatinine levels.

Note: Adequate hydration is essential before administration. Serum calcium, phosphate, and magnesium should be monitored post-infusion.
